African masks

 African wooden mask from Yambe Democratic republic of Congo, crop harvesting and fertility mask, usually worn by an initiated dancer on a crest resting upon the head, it is believed that the spirit of the ancestor possesses the wearer.

Peaceful and elegant carving of a face, "Salam Passou" rare African mask, worn flat on the torso. Used as a safe passage when on a long journey across several tribes, from Republic democratic of Congo.
