Industrial craftsmanship

Industrial craftsmanship, two words that usually mean the opposite, but if  I refer myself to Walter Gropius founder of the Bauhaus school, it is actually  possible to deliver an item on mass production to a craftsman excellence without compromising its beauty and creation purpose.

On this beautiful ceiling fan from a butcher's shop in Clunes N.S.W Australia, we are far from mass production but still the industrial touch is here with an elaborated  Folk Art fabrication.
It just needs a belt to do its job. I like it as a sculpture myself.
